This class is very interesting and has intrigued my mind. I want to take a trip across seas and do missions work. I have never done any missions work before over seas and I would really like to.

The book of Acts is a very interesting book and it shows us how missions can be very effective when God is with us fully and calls us into ministry.

Escobar Chapter Ten

Chapter ten's title is called A New Way of Looking At The World. When going in to missions I hope to have a new way of looking at the world.

The next chapters title is called Mission as Transforming Service. Missions is something that can change us and transform us into something new and that is what it should do. I would definitely want to go on a mission trip to see things differently and have a new perspective.

The next chapter is chapter 8 and it is called Text and Context: The World Through New Eyes. This chapter is all about new churches and the way that they are seeing the world quite literally through new eyes.

Chpater Seven is named The Holy Spirit and Christian Mission. The Holy Spirit is a big part of our lives and I believe that we truly cannot do missions without the Holy Spirit.

Escobar Chapter Six

The six chapter is named Christ: God's Best Missionary. Christ is truly God's best missionary and he should be one of the ones we look to when we are doing missions.

Escobar Chapter Three

The title of the third chapter of the book is called A Brave New World Order. This chapter talks all about poverty and globalization. To me, poverty is a very serious thing and missions can help stop hunger throughout the world.

Escobar Chapter Two

The name of the second chapter is called Mud and Glory. This chapter deals with the advancement that past missionaries have made and what advancement missionaries are doing today. There are several things that it speaks about with missionaries and I have always wanted to go on a missionary trip.

Escobar Chapter One

The name of the first chapter in Escobar's book, "The New Global Mission" is called Christian Mission in a New Century. This chapter really deals with a lot of the new things dealing with missions in the new century that we now live in.
